Game Summary:
The knock of Slaven's cup, the hiding of beers, the week one rain out, all these things can only mean one thing.... Softball is back!!

After a very productive off-season, the Byrne's Pub Goat Rodeo Cowboys took on the 2007 expansion team, Roosters. Boasting a 100% retention on starting players from last season, the Byrne's Pub Goat Rodeo Cowboys felt pretty confident as they hustled to take their defensive positions. In the top of the first the BP-GRC's played tough D and allowed only one run. This was followed up by an offensive shellacking as the BP-GRC's answered back with 6 runs. After dominating the first inning, the BP-GRC's were able to hold on to the lead and eventually run rule Roosters in only 5 innings.

Despite a very promising start to the season, the competition wasn't all that tough and the Goat Rodeo Cowboys played a very relaxed game. Their first true test should come next week with their matchup against Varsity Club KB.
